Director, Annuities Sales Operations | Pru | Shelton, CT

Manage the financial reporting and analysis activities for Annuities Sales and Distribution for developing forecasts, budgets, business plans and subadvisor sponsorships.  Prepare reports and presentations reflecting business activity, industry trends and benchmarks, to be used in managing the business and  making critical business decisions.  Manage the process for implementing new sales territories within the overall business plan. 
Responsibilities:
·         Develop and facilitate the budget and financial management  process for all  Annuities Sales and Distribution.  Working closely with distribution leadership and finance, develop annual budgets and forecasts including, but not limited to, expense forecasts, staffing, travel and entertainment and other projects. 
 
·         Manage all accounting related activities in support of our subadvisor program.  Ensure proper financial controls and reporting are in place and adhered to.
 
·         Create analysis tools and presentations to be used by senior Sales and Distribution leadership regarding the state of the business.  Identify, collect and analyze appropriate measures/metrics to report regarding business performance, the marketplace and industry trends.  Work closely with VP Operations to develop presentations for senior leadership for strategic business discussions, conferences and senior level client meetings.
 
·         Manage the process for providing input to market surveys on competitor activity  and communicating findings that are incorporated into operational best practices and sales compensation planning.  Facilitate the annual compensation process and timeline working with sales leadership, finance, corporate compensation and HR.
 
·         Manage the review and approval process for new territories and/or territory changes.  In partnership with Finance, ensure additional resources (i.e., headcount, spend, guarantees, etc.) can be supported by the business and available market data.  Additionally, working with National Sales Manager and Divisional Sales Managers, develop and execute appropriate levels of T&E funding for territories.
 
·         Participate in and/or lead tactical level projects within the Sales and Distribution organization.  Develop/redesign processes or tools to help better manage the business.
 
·         Coordinate and/or participate in other key management meetings as needs arise that impact the business and its strategic direction.
 

 

·         Bachelor's degree in business related field;  Master's preferred
·         7+ years experience in financial management, preferably within a sales environment.
·         Strong business analysis and reporting experience.  Able to present complex data succinctly to senior audiences and clients.
·         Strong project management skills to plan and execute projects across multiple functions with deliverables to senior management within tight timeframes.
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills in presenting critical messages to senior levels of leadership. Apply
