For more information, visit http://www.prudential.com. Prudential's Annuities Division is seeking a Lead Analyst, Business Group Risk Management. The position will be located Shelton, CT, however the successful candidate will be required to routinely travel to the other Prudential Annuities facilities. The travel commitment is approximately 20%. Responsibilities are as follows: The Lead Analyst, will be required to provide guidance and assistance in the implementation and ongoing review of appropriate programs with the result that material risks are identified, understood, managed and communicated. Provides oversight and collaboration in the development and closure of proactive and corrective action plans so that outstanding issues have been identified and are properly addressed. Partners with business group management in the development and implementation of appropriate control and Company standards, the preparation of risk self-assessments and the development of risk mitigation and transfer (this is the insurance piece) programs. The goal of these efforts is that operational risks are identified, well managed and controlled. Reviews and approves risk self-assessments developed by business group management prior to scoring and consolidation, providing feedback that enhances the end product. Assists the business group with the development of tailored performance indicators that facilitate the evaluation of organizational goals and risks. Oversees the organization and analysis of data used for the quantitative measurement of risk Assists business group management with risk reporting for the Operating Risk Committee. Coordinates risk management issues between business groups, sectors and corporate functions. Provides leadership within the business group for a number of corporate driven initiatives, including business continuation and pandemic planning, Sarbanes-Oxley attestation, records management and information security. This position is also responsible for maintaining an open dialogue and smooth coordination with the Compliance Officer with respect to Compliance and Privacy initiatives. Education: Bachelor Degree (Risk Management, Finance, Accounting or Business) or equivalent work experience required. Related leadership experience in compliance, audit or risk preferred.
