Associate Manager, Advanced Planning & Solutions | Prudential | Shelton, CT

The associate manager will be located in Shelton, CT. with our annuities business, is part of the Advanced Planning & Solutions team within the Center for Sales Excellence.  The Advanced Planning & Solutions team provides technical expertise and value added support to financial professionals in the areas of retirement income distribution strategies, intergenerational and estate planning, small business planning and wealth protection strategies.  

The associate manager defines, develops and provides information and analysis to evaluate team activities to ensure effective and efficient allocation of resources. Additionally, based on that analysis, the associate manager will develop recommendations, proposals and procedures to maximize business results. The associate manager also identifies trends and areas of business opportunity that will provide additional sales opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting research and analysis to quantify business opportunities and issues and developing formal recommendations for presentation to management
  • Working with internal and external customers to generate solutions to business issues and then planning/implementing those solutions
  • Leading efforts to develop new or revised processes/procedures for the Advanced Planning & Solutions team
  • Participating in presentations for internal/external business partners
  • Providing back-up support to the Advanced Planning & Solutions sales desk and Continuing Education Program Manager
 
  • BA/BS or equivalent business experience
  • Experience with statistical analyses desired
  • Strong analytical skills
  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • FINRA Series 6 and 63 (or ability to acquire within 90 days)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to direct, moderate and negotiate cross-functional teams
  • Fundamental understanding of IRAs, variable annuities and employer-sponsored retirement plans
  • Ability to deal with and resolve conflicting and competing demands
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient PC skills - Excel/Access/Internet methodologies
  • Willingness and desire to learn Advanced Planning concepts and strategies
