To make your mark as National Manager of Risk for the America Region
- Set direction, define and lead the development of Credit, Residual, and
operational risk management capabilities, processes, tools, and best
practices for large diverse automotive lending portfolios to promote
regional and global TFSC strategy and objectives. The role, described in
more detail below, will focus on current and new markets in the Americas
Region.
- Develop and execute risk management program based on in-depth
understanding of risks and opportunities, macro-economic trends and
geo-political events, portfolio risk profile, company profit objectives
and risk tolerance. Develop capabilities in credit risk assessment and
monitoring tool development, portfolio loss forecasting, vintage loss
tracking, account monitoring techniques and strategies relating to the
credit and operational monitoring process, behavioral scoring,
quantitative and qualitative risk analytics, pricing and profitability
tools.
- Manage the credit risk and portfolio acquisition and management
risk strategy for Americas region SFC's by bringing a balanced view of
balancing risk and reward, advanced analytics and business sense.
- Evaluate and develop risk systems and technology platforms
realizing opportunities for pan-market application. This includes
ensuring appropriate state-of-the-art functionality for all credit,
portfolio, and marketing analytics processes. Ensure robust scoring,
decisioning, tracking, and analytic capabilities are present in manual
and automated decision systems used by the SFC's
- Develop standardized dynamic and comprehensive KRI, portfolio
tracking, vintage analyses, forecasting, and other risk reporting.
Monitor risk within markets and establish methods and procedures to
analyze and mitigate those risks, including Risk reporting functions.
- Lead interaction with the international, regional and local credit
bureaus and reporting agencies, leveraging the data for maximum value
and usage within the credit and risk management strategies and
processes.
- Direct and coordinate modeling and analytical support for the
region, including using offshore analytical resources.
- Understand country economic, geo-political and other factors and
its current and forward looking impacts on portfolio growth, risk and
performance, used car market and other implications.
Qualifications
TFS is looking for individuals with strong business sense and practical
expertise. Successful candidates must have:
- 10+ years progressive experience in credit and risk management
with expert knowledge of credit decisions tools, and profitability
analysis with the capacity to adapt analytically driven methodologies to
business processes. Previous international business experience desired.
- This candidate will possess strong project management,
interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (written and
verbal). Must be a team player, very self-motivated with high energy,
and able to manage and prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
- Ability to understand and balance risk and reward in often
volatile markets. Automotive lending experience a plus but not required
- Experience leading/managing and empowering others, and ability to
work effectively in a culturally diverse international work group.
- The candidate will need to effectively communicate (verbal and
written) with many levels of senior management throughout the credit and
business environment.
- Experience in Latin America Region and Spanish speaking highly
desirable. Moderate travel to the various markets is required.
- Relationship building and ability to drive decision making through
a consensus building approach.
EDUCATION
- MBA/M.S. or equivalent (preferably Finance, Economics, Statistics or
Mathematics) is require
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word,
PowerPoint
Experience with SAS, EssBase preferred
