This position is responsible for:
In-year Operating Agenda - in partnership with the President, WHQ,
and functional direct reports, establishes and maintains the in-year
operating rigor for the business inclusive of: business reviews,
operating reviews, functional focus areas, corporate meetings, and the
overall corporate calendar. Adjusts in-year plan to allow for changes in
business condition, acquisitions, disposals, and other related actions.
Active participant in all operating meetings.
Presentation Preparation - overall responsibility for the creation of
GFP strategy and business presentations. Through the Operating Agenda,
outlines processes and leads creation of all presentation materials from
GFP to WHQ. Partners with Product Line GM's on consistent approach,
communicates expectations, and assists in creation when necessary for
presentations from the Product Lines to GFP.
Medium Term Operating Plan - develop and implement medium term
operating plan for the region where one does not exist today. Through
process develop the first medium term operating plan as well as process
for renewing the plan on an annual basis.
Restructuring - in partnership with the President, FD, and Product
Line GMs, manage the region's ongoing plans for restructuring.
Responsibility includes identification of restructuring plans within and
across countries and the creation of required documentation for UTC
funding of projects. Work both to create plans ready to execute when
funding is available as well as anticipating and reacting to changes in
market conditions and the cooresponding need to reduce costs.
Strategy - in partnership with the Commercial Director, support the
region's ongoing acquisition and integration efforts. Ensures aligment
between integration agenda the medium-term plan. Serves as a resource to
lead integration activities.
Responsible for organization duties and responsibilities as contained in
Items 1 through 3 below:
- Provide leadership in the development of an effective organization
and its members. Ensure timely and complete feedback provided to all
associates, which enables them to improve their overall performance and
contribution to the Company.
- In all areas of responsibility which have a direct impact on the
health and safety of employees and the environment, assure that
appropriate safeguards are in place and that the UTC Policy and
Principles on Human and Natural Resource Protection is fully supported
and implemented.
- Responsible for the performance of other tasks related to this
position as they are assigned by cognizant management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
MBA or post-graduate business degree required with 5+
years of experience related to marketing, business develoment, and
strategic planning activities. Incumbent should have demonstrated
leadership skills and experience in a global industrial product
engineering, manufacturing, and distribution business.
Position will be located in Bradenton, FL.
